Strengthening response to the Southeast Asian market -

Koukandekirukun, Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Masaru Kurihara) has established an overseas subsidiary in Singapore and will begin operations in April 2025.
The main business objectives of the Singapore corporation are to conduct research on the residential equipment market, primarily in Southeast Asia, to promote collaboration with overseas companies in residential equipment-related business, and to engage in IR activities for overseas investors.

Southeast Asia has a population of approximately 660 million, and in recent years, its nominal GDP has been growing rapidly in line with rising per capita income, and is expected to surpass Japan's by 2030 (see Figure 1)*1.

In Singapore and throughout Southeast Asia, the housing market is booming along with economic development.
Japanese residential equipment manufacturers are also actively expanding overseas into growing markets, with their products being highly rated for their high quality, durability, and advanced functionality. Major manufacturers are strengthening their presence to the point where overseas markets now account for approximately 30% of their sales.
In addition, Singapore launched the "Smart Nation (Digital Nation)" initiative in 2014 and has been promoting the digitalization of society as a whole. In October 2024, it announced "Smart Nation 2.0," and is working to promote the introduction of AI and improve online reliability.

In this environment, we are keeping an eye on future overseas trends in residential equipment, and will use our Singapore subsidiary as a base to conduct detailed research on the Southeast Asian market and promote strategic alliances with local companies with which we can expect to create synergies in residential equipment-related businesses and digital transformation business areas over the medium to long term.
Furthermore, we have concluded an "Advisory Agreement for Southeast Asian Market Research" with Hamagin Research Institute Co., Ltd.*2 to conduct detailed analysis of local markets and create partnership opportunities with promising companies. In addition, with the cooperation of Astris Advisory Japan Co., Ltd.*3, we will strengthen our IR activities aimed at overseas investors, with the aim of further increasing our corporate value.
